18th August 2008 GOODBYE VANCOUVER, HELLO SKYHAROUR So our time in Vancouver is coming to an end. It’s been an amazing year, we’ve been so inspired by all the people we’ve met and the experiences we’ve had. Thank you to Vancouver for embracing us and allowing us to play our music for you. We’d especially like to thank all our fans that have come out to support us, as well as the bands that we’ve met and played with and of course the clubs in Vancouver that have had us; The Media Club, The Commodore, The Plaza, The Bourbon and The Cellar . We're heading back to Australia to support the release of our record. It will be sad to leave but we feel like we've definately left our mark. We have three more shows here before we go. One on Wednesday the 20th at The Plaza and then another September 13th and also October 11th at The Media Club. You can check the tour section for all details. HOMECOMING We have a bunch of touring plans for Australia coming up so make sure to watch the tour page for details. The record will be released through MGM Australia on October 18th so the next 6 months will be very busy for us back at home. We’re excited about going home and playing in front of our home crowd. NEW YORK STOPOVER Before flying back to Australia we will be making a stop in New York to play the CMJ Music Marathon. We're excited to get back to New York and to be part of the conference and very honored they invited us to showcase. We may also make a stop in LA for a couple of shows but we'll keep you posted. 12th July 2008 TSN ON BIG BROTHER AGAIN! Hey, just a quick note. Letting Go got played on Big Brother Australia the other night. The video is up on the Big Brother website, you can check it out here. 6th July 2008 THE SATELLITE NATION DOCUMENTARY So we made it back to Vancouver from New York. We had a blast there and the shows were fantastic. Such a big, busy yet beautiful city. We spent a lot of time looking around and eating pizza. We can't wait to get back there. We've started putting together a documentary of our time here in Vancouver and our travels around North America. You can view the first episode on the splash page of the website. We will have regular episode updates so keep checking back for those. Letting Go got played on Big Brother during the Sunday night eviction show last week. They seem to be loving our songs which is great. The video isn't on the Big Brother website yet but as soon as it is, we will post the link. We will have some exciting news soon about a possible Australian tour plus heading back to new york so join our mailing list to get updated. 16th June 2008 GOODBYE TORONTO, HELLO NEW YORK! So we had a blast at NXNE in Toronto. The show was fantastic and we loved Toronto as a city. So much culture in one place. We had a little stall in Dundas Square one day while we were there and spent the whole day meeting people and letting them listen to our music. It was incredible and everyone was really nice. We're now in New York and have been checking out the city and the sites.....eating pizza and chilli dogs. We're playing two showcases while we're here this week. One at Arlenes Grocery and the other at Sullivan Hall. You can check the tour section for more details. TSN ON BIG BROTHER! Our song Street Parades got played on Big Brother Australia the other night during Rhianna's montage after her eviction. The music seemed to go really well with the visuals. You can check the video out on the Big Brother website if you like. So that's all for now, we'll see you all soon!! 28th May 2008 AUSTRALIAN BOOKING AGENT! Thanks to everyone that came down to the New Music West shows last week. We had a blast, especially at the Aussie showcase! We're off to the east coast in a couple of weeks to play at NXNE in Toronto so if you're from Toronto or heading up there to check it out, keep an eye out for us. Some exciting news! We just got signed to Premier Artist, one of Australias biggest booking agency. Just head over to their website and check out the roster. We're super excited to start working with them and hopefully come home to play for all you guys back in Australia. That's all for now. First of all we'd like to thank everyone who came down early to the Daniel Wesley show last week. It was awesome and we had so much fun. We'd also like to thank Daniel Wesley and Live Nation for having us. The Satellite Nation have been confirmed to play both New Music West in Vancouver in May AND the prestigious NXNE in Toronto in June. TSN will be playing two shows at each festival, the Australian showcase and another festival showcase. Hey everyone, just a reminder about our Record Release Party this Saturday the 26th of January at the Media club - 695 Cambie Street. We're so excited to announce that our new EP is complete and will be released on January 26th 2008, Australia Day at The Media Club in Vancouver! Being from the land down under, the date is special to us. We're proud to be Australian but we're also excited to be releasing our new project in our second home - Vancouver! They had a great time in LA and the new project is in the final stages of mixing and sounds AMAZING!! The guys had a ball with their Producing team. Thanks Lon, Assen, Matt and all the Broken Wave crew for making us feel so welcome and allowing us to create some great music. Also while in L.A. the guys spent 3 days in the desert out in Joshua Tree shooting their music video with an award winning team for their first single LAST TIME. The Satellite Nation are on their way to LA to record their long awaited new project at the famous Broken Wave Music Studios with Producer, Engineer, Lon Miller. Lon�s career spans over 20 years, he�s established himself as a musician�s musician and worked across the music genres of rock, pop, jazz, world music and R&B. His resume reads like an international smorgasbord; from John Densmore (drummer from the Doors), Barry Oakley (Allman Brothers) to Colin Hayes (Men at Work). He now manages the internationally renowned studios of Broken Wave Music; a studio opened by Yamaha in 1979 and the invention place of the famous NS10 speakers that has played host to artists such as Snoop Dog, Beck, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Alanis Morrissette, Larry Carlton, Ozzie Osbourne and now THE SATELLITE NATION! YAH! 19th August 2007 THANK YOU VANCOUVER!! The Satellite Nation have played their first shows in Vancouver to packed houses. They were received with open arms and great enthusiasm and have been offered an opportunity to appear on one of Vancouver's best music TV shows, URBAN RUSH.
